FOLSOM, Calif. (August 8, 2023) AgreeYa Solutions, a leader in software, solutions and services, was recognized with the prestigious Champions for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award by the Sacramento Business Journal. Ajay Kaul, managing partner at AgreeYa Solutions accepted the award in person at the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Forum & Awards event on July 20, 2023. This event honored local companies that have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and the community.

“We are truly honored to receive the award from the Sacramento Business Journal,” said Ajay Kaul, managing partner at AgreeYa Solutions. “DEI has been embedded in our company DNA since day one and for us it encompasses far more than just race, ethnicity, age and gender. At AgreeYa, DEI is about celebrating and recognizing every individual and the unique perspectives they bring to our workplace. This commitment has not only been beneficial for our company but has also allowed us to better understand and serve our customers and the community. I was excited to receive this award alongside many amazing organizations, including Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) a long-time customer.

AgreeYa has embraced DEI as a fundamental pillar of its corporate culture from its inception in 1999. By fostering an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and innovation, AgreeYa has successfully cultivated a diverse workforce with employees from different ethnicities, ages, genders and educational backgrounds. The company’s DEI initiatives also extend to working with vendors from diverse businesses such as small-, minority- and women-owned businesses as well as disabled veteran business enterprises.

As AgreeYa’s DEI programs have evolved over the years, it has helped customers achieve their DEI goals including launching initiatives to hire more women in the field, targeted hiring programs for local educational institutions and developing partnerships to support underrepresented groups. It has built a framework for hiring to maintain a diverse workforce, which includes increasing awareness about DEI in the workplace, identifying and eliminating core DEI challenges, building structure and policies for scaling DEI and diversifying business networks and employee referrals.

AgreeYa’s commitment to DEI has garnered a host of recognitions, with the company being ranked as the #1 Certified Minority-Owned Business and #1 Certified Women-Owned Business by the Sacramento Business Journal.
