A Modern SharePoint based Intranet to Catalyze Communication and Collaboration

Our customer is a public community college in Illinois, providing a wide range of academic program choices to meet the student’s educational needs at different points in their lives. Students, faculties, staff, and board members across this college were using an internal Intranet to share important news and events with just a few clicks. The platform was responsible for keeping college staff up to date with new policies and storing students’ grades and attendance. However, their Intranet platform was built fifteen years back and its technology was now outdated. As a result, the users faced various usability issues. Further, the Intranet lacked various essential features required to meet the existing user demands.

Upon engagement, the AgreeYa team held in-depth discussions with the stakeholders and shared a multi-phase solution delivery roadmap and proposed a hybrid-agile approach. AgreeYa experts worked on enhancing the essential features of the Intranet such as ‘My Systems,’ ‘News Digest’ email to meet the requirement of the educational institution. Post-go-live, the AgreeYa experts delivered detailed training sessions to the administrators and content authors. Our training sessions enabled the staff members to understand the full range of features in SharePoint Online and how they can upload content as well as create and update pages independently without seeking help from the IT department.
